Resource CenterArtography was initiated with the awareness that exemplary community-responsive cultural practices, both aesthetic and organizational ones from a variety of cultures, need to be supported and documented in a way that will validate and sustain them in service of real cultural equity. This Resource Center is a communal space to share information and work towards broadening conceptual vocabularies and models that we hope will provide a means to shift both the dialogue and practices within arts organizations as well as arts policymaking. Conversations and strategies regarding cultural diversity need to move beyond being "skin deep" and engage with more substantive issues regarding the breadth of what constitutes artistic standards and rigor. Towards this goal, we present a variety of materials for you to experience and consider in regards to these issues. Explore the documents, links, publications, video and audio materials related to grantee-generated projects that received Artography support. If you are a grantee and have additional projects, links, and materials to share, please contact Nicholas Pelzer for details. And if you have issue-related thoughts and feedback, check out the blog and post a comment in our ongoing dialogues. |
